G27657 ` Kodak Very Unique Electronic Iris
Very unique electronic iris assembly made for Kodak cameras. We have had these for years and finally decided to sell them. This is brand new old stock. It is about 1" outer diameter x 0.18" thick. Inside the assembly are 3 enclosed tiny electromagnets. There is a 3.2" long flat ribbon cable with 6 solder plated fingers. We applied power and the iris opened. When we reversed the polarity and applied the voltage again it closed. We think that for reliability you would need to connect each group of 2 fingers (corresponding to an electromagnet) in parallel, however we didn't try this. Very unique and fascinating assembly. Sorry we have no other data.
